The US flavor of Optimus 3D is now available for purchase

Mobile phone carrier AT&T has just made available for purchase on its network a new Android-based smartphone with high-end capabilities, namely the LG Thrill 4G.

The smartphone arrives on shelves as the US version of LG's Optimus 3D handset, and packs all the features and capabilities that the original device did.

The handset comes to shelves with a large 4.3 inches touchscreen display that can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution and support for 16 Million colors.

It also sports a 1 GHz dual-core application processor enhanced by a dual-channel, dual-memory architecture for increased performance capabilities.

However, the most appealing feature that the new device arrives on shelves with is the ability to shoot photos and record videos in 3D, courtesy of dual 5-megapixel cameras that LG packed on it.

The cameras can record 2D content as well, and feature LED Flash and auto focus. Moreover, LG placed a camera on the front of this mobile phone, so as to enable users place and receive video calls with it.

The mobile phone can offer playback of 3D videos as well, and also provides users with access to YouTube 3D to enhance the experience they receive.

The specifications list of LG Thrill also includes 8 GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage space (an 8GB card included from the start).

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities were included into the mix as well, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and built-in GPS receiver.

The LG Thrill is powered by a 1500 mAh battery that can offer up to 6 hours of talk time, or up to 312 hours of standby time. The handset measures 5.07 x 2.68 x 0.47 inches and weighs in at 5.99 ounces.

The Android-based mobile phone can be seen on AT&T's website here, featuring a price tag of $99.99 with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.
