The G4 won’t be just your average flagship

At CES 2015 LG made a big deal out of unveiling the G Flex 2, but some of us were also wondering whether it will give us a glimpse at its upcoming G4 flagship.

That didn't happen but the folks at Trusted Reviews managed to track down LG’s Director or Corporate Communications, Ken Hong, and asked him a few questions about their upcoming device

For starters, they wanted to know whether LG plans to maintain the nomenclature because, let’s face it, the G4 sounds quite silly.

And mister Hong gave us hope that LG might actually choose a different naming scheme for its 2015-bound flagship. He didn't offer any hints in this respect, but at least the possibility was teased, so we have faith.

LG G4 will be experimental

Apart from the name, Hong made another interesting reference while talking about the G4. Given that the market is usually spawned with handsets that pretty much boast similar specifications, LG is looking for different ways to impress the crowd.

So, the company is experimenting with several designs and, who knows, maybe some special capabilities that will hopefully incite more customers to pick the LG G4 up when the time comes.

We’re quite curious to see what innovations will be implemented on LG’s next-gen flagship, but we probably have some time to wait before the device goes official.
