Simple but interesting

It seems that, these days, everybody is trying to create only unique flip phones, and LG makes no exception to that. Together with Alltel, it has released a new mobile – the Swift, which is equipped with new keypad technology.

Created for energetic persons, the Swift brings as innovation the Fastap Press-to-Experience board that shows new and improved ways of using your mobile quickly and efficiently. The great thing about this keyboard is that it comes complete with six Quick keys and traditional numeric keypad, allowing easy access to all the phone's features. Alltel has fulfilled its part when developing this phone, by allowing access to Alltel Navigation, Alltel Shop, Image Library and Email applications.

Speaking of the new arrival, Brian Ullem from Alltel Wireless declared, "The introduction of Fastap Press-to-Experience keys enables us to delivers information and entertainment to our customers faster than ever before."

This flip phone is also targeted at music lovers (on their devices), by including the dual speaker system with stereo sound, external multimedia managing buttons, easy to use file managing feature and a micro card support, in order to really create a pleasant multimedia experience. The recording will be done using a 1.3 Megapixel camera, with the list being completed by Bluetooth support and, somewhat unfortunately, the not so popular 2.5mm jack.

Also, Alltel has made this phone affordable for probably all potential clients by setting the price at $49.99 for new users on a two-year contract, while also bringing rate plans for already existing customers.

As for the design, including the Fastap Press-to-Experience keys, this clamshell phone is available in red or blue, but it looks rather plain nonetheless. However, this is probably exactly what the manufacturers intended, considering that a more sophisticated-looking phone could not have been made available at such a price.
