Only a concept at this time

A mobile phone based on the design of Rolex watches is not too difficult to think of. It's nothing more than a concept at this time though, and no official image of the LG Rolex handset has surfaced, but there are high chances that such a device will be out on the market in the future.

The concept was spotted at an LG mobile demonstration room. Among the various models displayed on this occasion, the Rolex phone seems to have been one of the most interesting designs. What sets the similarity to the products from the designer is the Rolex watch-face embedded in the casing. This is a striking resemblance, although it does not have to necessarily be the result of cooperation between the two companies.

After LG Prada, Samsung Armani, Samsung Ted Baker and even Levi's mobile phones, a Rolex one sounds pretty plausible. In fact, many people have given up using their wrist watches in favor of their handsets, which could set the start for an unique device that should combine the handset producer's experience in developing evolved devices, with the fame and elegance of Rolex watches.

The other concepts coming from this producer looked pretty good as well. It looks like LG is also thinking of music phones, as it displayed one such handset with a large graphic equalizer on the outer casing. There was also one that slides down in order to expose the camera on top of the phone in a similar manner that the Nokia N95 phone reveals its easy access playlist managing buttons. LG also showed interest in dual-touchscreen phones, as one of the devices listed had a second small touchscreen below the main one, with dynamically-changing buttons.

None of these concepts is outraging or impossible to deploy in real mobile phones. Because of this, there are high chances for the Rolex handset to be out on the market sometime in the future.
