LG strongly targets the Asian market, as it took part in the GSMA Mobile Asia Congress 2007, from November 12 through 15. The company took advantage of this occasion to present its latest high-end devices and also bring them out on a new market.

Among the most impressive attractions, there can also be found the LG Viewty KU990, LG KS20 and the Shine family in a wide range of color variations. The two devices have been announced for some time now and are also targeted towards the European market, although a release in Asia could work out just as well.

"LG now looks to drive another mobile trend - focusing to high functionality handsets - just as we have led the design innovation in the mobile industry," said Dr. Skott Ahn, President & CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. Moreover, "As the Asian market has been one of our key targets due to its great growth potential, we are very excited to introduce LG Viewty, the first of LG's new high technology handsets, to Asia during GSMA Mobile Asia Congress 2007", he also added.

LG Viewty looks to top Apple's iPhone and comes equipped with a 5-megapixel camera and HSDPA technology to make data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps possible. The device will be released in Hong Kong starting November 22 and should be available in most of Asia, the Middle East and Africa by the end of this year.

GSMA Mobile Asia Congress was formerly known as the 3GSM World Congress Asia. The event is pretty big and is also joined with the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which stands as the largest and most significant global mobile event in the world. The Mobile Asia Congress 2007 will be held at The Venetian in Macau between 12-15 of November.
