Probably you all remember the Shine handset launched by LG Electronics in Korea under the CYON mobile phone brand, a cellphone also known as the SV420, KV4200 or as the LV4200. Also many of you will probably remember the fact that LG has decided at the moment that the Korean market offered enough space for the Shine but, as we speak, this fact is getting very close to a radical change.

The LG officials have finally decided the time has come for the rest of the world to be able to enjoy the beautiful full metal body of their newest Black Label cellphone.

I do agree with the people saying this label actually is another way of saying that Shine is another good looking handset with a not-so-impressive spec sheet but, if you think of it for a moment, some of us don't want a cellphone with a PC under the case but, instead, they are a lot more easily convinced by a charismatic mobile phone with less high-tech features than the usual phones arriving on the mobile market at the moment.

LG will introduce the Shine cellphone on the European and North American markets at the upcoming international Consumer Electronics Show to be held in Las Vegas on January 8th and, just to prove they really really want it to be a big hit like the Chocolate was, LG is going to set up a booth made only of stainless steel. If that won't be shiny I really don't know what it will be!

The device features a 2 megapixel digital camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, a mirror like face, a 2.6 inch QVGA TFT LCD display working at a 240x320 resolution, a scroll key under the screen so the users will be able to scroll through the phone's menus without the need of sliding down the keypad, an MP3 player, wireless Bluetooth connectivity, 1 GB of internal memory to store all the favorite songs and the Muvee Video Studio.

The LG Shine will be released in the first quarter of 2007 in Europe and after a while in the mobile markets from Asia and the United States.
