Canadian carrier Virgin Mobile has just announced the availability of the LG Rumour Plus feature-phone, which can be obtained for free on the three-year SuperTab.

Furthermore, Virgin Mobile offers two more price options to customers who are interested in acquiring a cheap feature-phone.

To avoid being tied-down by a long-term contract, customers would have to pay $129.99 upfront or $99.99 on Prepaid.

Although the phone's initial suggested retail price was around $150, for unknown reasons the carrier decided to make it cheaper.

LG Rumour Plus is aimed at heavy texters who only use the basic features of a phone, but still like to keep the trend when it comes to look.

Even though the handset lacks advanced features specific to modern smartphones, customers who are worried by the limited browsing capabilities of the Rumour Plus should not fret as the phone is delivered with full HSPA (3.6 Mbps) support.

In addition, LG Rumour Plus comes with a small 2.4-inch TFT resistive touchscreen with 262K colors support, 240 x 320 pixel resolution, as well as accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate.

Some of the few strong points of the phone are the 4-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard and the touch screen dial.

The slider packs only 80 MB of internal memory, but offers a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB).

Using a budget phone has its disadvantages, so customers should expect low-quality pictures and videos when using the 2-megapixel photo snapper.

According to Virgin Mobile, the LG Rumour Plus features global roaming to more than 200 countries and comes bundled with a full track music player.

The Rumour Plus slider is powered by a standard 950 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 380 hours of standby time or up to 4 hours of talk time.
