Out now from Sprint and BestBuy

LG Rumor is now officially available in a new blue color, released by Sprint in addition to the other three already available: black, white and green (the last one released about two months ago, on the occasion of St. Patrick's Day).

Offered in the US only by Sprint, LG Rumor has become very popular among the so-called texters (users who send lots of text and email messages from their phones), thanks to its full sliding QWERTY keyboard. Aside from this, the handset has several other features that make it a pretty good device for its price range.

Since the new blue version is different from the other ones only when it comes to its color, those who buy it will get the features of the original Rumor: a 176 x 220 pixel TFT display with 262K colors, Sprint's PCS Vision service, Music player, Bluetooth, GPS and Sprint Navigator to help users find their way when on the road, Instant Messaging, speakerphone, T9 predictive text input, microSD card support for up to 4GB, downloadable games, scheduler, voice memo, Notepad, world clock and so on. There's also a 1.3 Megapixel camera with video recording - not that great, but it should still allow users to take occasional snapshots when there's no better phone or camera around.

LG Rumor weighs 4.1 ounces (115 grams) and, when closed, it measures 4.3 x 2.0 x 0.7 inches (109 x 51 x 17.8 millimeters). Its battery is a 950 mAh one and it's capable of offering a talk-time of up to 4.5 hours.

Although it doesn't appear on Sprint's website, along with the other three Rumors, the blue Rumor can be bought from Best Buy, for the same price as the earlier versions - meaning as low as $49.99 with a Sprint contract agreement for two years.
