Described as the smallest ever, the device connects through a variety of protocols

When seeing the following measurements, 2.8 x 4.7 x 0.9 inches (71 x 120 x 23 mm), most people would probably think of a phone of some sort, or maybe a camera because of the thickness.

The list should be extended, though, to include pocketable photo printers.

LG has released the Pocket Photo, defined as the smallest mobile picture printer ever.

It can connect to smartphones through Bluetooth, USB and even NFC (near-field communication), by means of an Android app.

When done, the Optimux Vu software, installed on the printer, can be ordered to roll out 2 x 3-inch prints.

The best part is that, since the printer works with heat-activated Zink paper, there is no need for ink.

South Korea is where sales will start shortly, for $169 / 128 Euro. Pink, silver and orange are the color options.

No idea when, if ever, the US, Africa or Europe will receive the LG Pocket Photo.
