LG Optimus LTE is already available in North America, but the Korean handset maker decided to launch it in Canada first. The phone was recently release at Bell Canada and will probably be added by more carriers in the future.

However, it looks like the smartphone is making its way onto United States via AT&T carrier. The phone was spotted by the folks over at Pocketnow, along with the carrier's logo labeled on it.

Furthermore, the carrier will use a different name for the Optimus LTE, so customer should expect to find this one as LG Nitro HD.

No information on the phone's price or exact release date surfaced yet, but it should hit shelves just in time for the holidays.

LG Nitro HD was spotted back in May as LG P930 with its 720 x 1280 pixels resolution touchscreen display, but no other details emerged until last month when the Korean company launched the Optimus LTE in South Korea.

Those unfamiliar with the phone's specs sheet should know that the Nitro packs 1 GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The manufacturer also stated that the smartphone will be delivered with a free 16GB memory card in the sales package, but this has yet to be confirmed by AT&T.

Aside its amazing 4.5-inch HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, the LG Nitro HD is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and an Adreno 220 graphics processing unit, which puts it among the most powerful Android smartphones available in the market.

Obviously, the phone features full support for AT&T's 4G LTE network and offers a range of connectivity options, incuding Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot.

LG Nitro HD runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but it might receive the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade next year.
