AT&T just added to its online offer the LG Neon II QWERTY feature-phone, which can be bought and activated online. The new device is an update of the original Neon, which was launched over one year ago, in March 2009.

The phone can be considered a mid-budget phone that can meet the demands of most of the medium users.

The slider's main highlight is the full QWERTY keyboard with 26 keys, that recommends it to those that are using their phone to text often.

LG Neon II comes with a 2.4-inch display with 262K color support (320 x 240 pixel resolution), GPS with A-GPS support, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR support, miniUSB port, 80 MB internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16 GB).

It measures 103 x 49.8 x 15.2mm and weighs 104.8g (including battery). It also sports a 2.0-megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom and video recording capabilities.

Neon II is powered by a 950mAh Li-Ion battery, which was rated by the carrier for up to 4 hours of talk time, or 6 days of standby.

The phone also includes a wide range of AT&T services that might be more or less useful to the users: AT&T Maps, Ypmobile, AT&T Social Net, ATYT FamilyMap, Loopt, WHERE, AllSport GPS, AT&T Music, Mobile Video, and Mobile Banking.

The email client is compatible with POP3 and IMAP accounts, including AOL, Yahoo!, Windows Live.

LG Neon II was previously launched in August at Rogers where it was retailed at a cheaper price ($19.99), but required a longer term contract (3 years).

The slider is now available from AT&T for a regular price of $179.99 without any plan. Neon II can be bought for as low as $29.99 with a 2-year contract.

The phone is available in three color schemes, Red, Orange and Blue, but the latter is already out of stock.
