Starting today, mobile phone users in India can purchase a new smartphone coming from South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics, in the form of LG L90.

The handset was made official at the beginning of this month, and appears set to storm the Indian market starting with this week.

At the moment, users in the country interested in purchasing the phone will find it available on the website of online retailer Snapdeal with a price tag of Rs. 17,499 ($288/€208) attached to it. It will be shipped in 12 business days, the company notes.

Moreover, it appears that Infibeam is also planning on bringing the device to its users, as it has already listed it on its website. However, it will start selling the mobile phone only tomorrow.

As AndroidOS notes, this retailer is also having the smartphone priced a bit higher, at Rs. 18,990 ($313/€227). However, we might see it cut its cost a bit soon, so as to make sure that it will be competitive.

Unfortunately, LG hasn’t made an official announcement regarding its plans for LG L90 in India as of now, and it remains to be seen when exactly it will make such a move.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the new mobile phone was made official with a 4.7-inch IPS display capable of delivering a qHD resolution.

LG also included a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor inside the handset, along with 1GB of RAM, to ensure decent performance capabilities.

Moreover, the smartphone hits shelves with 8GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot, so as to enable users to add some more storage space to it.

On the back, it features an 8-megapixel camera, which should be able to offer full HD video recording capabilities, while also packing a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls.

LG L90 also arrives in India with dual-SIM capabilities, along with a 2540 mAh battery inside, which should deliver long usage times to all those who will purchase it.

Apparently, only the dual-SIM variant of the device is planned for launch in India for the time being, as there’s no word on when the single-SIM model might arrive there (or if it will be launched there at any given time).

Moreover, the smartphone was released with Android 4.4 KitKat loaded on top right from the start, but also with various exclusive features and applications coming from LG themselves.

Users in India interested in grabbing the LG L90 today should head over to Snapdeal for that. More info on the phone’s arrival in India should be unveiled soon, so stay tuned.
