LG Electronics announced today the release of LG KF510, a slim and fashionable slider mobile phone that will first be showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, Spain, between 11 and 14 February.

LG KF510 is a phone created for users who want unique designed handsets that also pack advanced features. Measuring only 10.9 mm in thickness, the new phone is among the slimmest sliders on the market and comes in an exclusive case with metal gradation paint schemes available in Sunset Red or Stardust Dark Gray.

LG KF510, also named "Touch Lighting Phone", offers a tactile and visually interactive user interface that includes fascinating animation developed based on LG's latest touch technology. Moreover, the phone features the "Auto Luminance Control" function to save energy. Besides being controlled via its touch-pad, the phone also offers a normal sliding keypad with large and elegant keys for easy number and text input.

LG unveiled only few specifications about the KF510 model, and we only know the phone packs a 3 Megapixel camera and Mp3 player. Details about supported networks, built-in memory or battery life-time will come when the handset gets to be released, but it's almost sure these features won't disappoint.

Currently the world's 5th largest handset manufacturer after Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and Sony Ericsson, LG is trying to conquer a bigger market share by releasing phones with different targets. The touchscreen technology is more and more popular, and in 2008 we'll see at least two times more phones based on this technology than in 2007, so LG is already bringing something new in this range with KF510.

LG KF510 will be available for a retail price of at least $300 starting March 2008. The phone will first be launched for major mobile markets with other markets around the world to follow.
