LG has just released on the market the mobile card phone KE820, successor of the LG KG320 Chocolate handset and the direct rival of the Samsung P310 with whom it shares the same form-factor and almost the same measures. The KE820 is also known as KG99 from a rumor that surfaced the internet almost three months ago and is also available in Korea under the name of KB1600 with somewhat different features, the most important being the DMB capability that lets you watch TV on your cell phone.

The device has a lot of features in such a small package, this being a direct consequence of the high rhythm of innovations in the mobile phones industry. The phone is a tri-band working on 900/1800/1900 Mhz networks, has a Chocolate candy-bar 9.9 mm thick design and it sports a 2 megapixel camera with flash, auto focus, night mode, macro shot, multi burst and EV control & telemetry.

It also has a display is a 2 inch TFT with a 144x176 pixels resolution, 128 MB of internal memory, a microSD memory expansion card slot, offers connectivity through stereo Bluetooth A2DP, USB, SyncML, GPRS, EDGE and USB Mass storage & PC sync, an FM radio, a flight mode, a music player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC++ and WAV audio files and VOD/MOD streaming capability.

For such a small device, the KE820 is offering lots of stuff and it makes you wonder how did the guys from LG cram all that in? Maybe they have some kind of hardware zip compression that we know nothing about :).

There is no word about the price or the release date of this beauty, but we'll keep you posted as soon as something new hits the surface.
