Although the LG Genesis has been previously leaked with most of its features, it appears that U.S. Cellular took it a step forward and confirmed that it will offer the slider starting June 9.

According to U.S. Cellular, the LG Genesis is a carrier exclusive and will be available for $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year agreement.

There's no information regarding the timeframe of the exclusivity, but U.S. Cellular's LG Genesis requires the purchase of a data plan.

The smartphone features a sleek flip design and comes with two multi-touch screens that allow users to view social network update.

The 3.5-inch external touch screen display is paired with the virtual QWERTY keyboard powered by Swype technology to make texting a smooth and speedy experience.

In addition, the internal 3.2-inch multi-touch screen is paired with the slide-out QWERTY keyboard that also makes typing quick and easy.

Customers who switch to U.S. Cellular join the happiest customers in wireless and can get easy-to-use devices that can be personalized to fit their busy schedules,” said Edward Perez, vice president of sales and marketing operations for U.S. Cellular.

LG Genesis sports a 5.0-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and zoom functions, as well as 32 GB of internal memory, which comes in handy for storing and sharing pictures of family and friends in high or low light.

Powered by the Froyo 2.2 Android platform, users of the LG Genesis have access to more than 200,000 apps via the Android Market.

Whether it's managing your calendar, keeping track of family activities or staying in touch with close friends, we have phones that make your life easier,” concluded Perez.

The slider can also act as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices and comes with an 8GB memory card in the sales package.
