One LG mobile phone that returned into the spotlight is the LG GT810. The handset, expected to come with a touchscreen display, has been spotted in the wild for the first time at the beginning of the ongoing year, and now we learn that it should be heading towards the Central and South America.

The device sports GSM, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA connectivity, and should come with Windows Mobile 6.1 as its operating system. In addition, there is the 3-inch touch screen that can offer a 240 x 400 pixel resolution, along with Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, and 256 MB of internal memory coupled with a memory card slot with support for up to 8 GB of additional storage space.

The mobile phone, which surfaced on LG's developer site, will also include Bluetooth connectivity, USB, messaging and email capabilities, multimedia player, and FM Radio. No details on the availability and pricing of the phone were unveiled so far.

In related news, we learn that the Korean mobile phone maker might be on its way to release a new device for Vodafone, which is supposedly called LG BL40. The handset will come with a rather interesting display, which seems to sport a resolution of 345 x 800 pixels. Though unheard of a similar resolution before, it is showed on two documents available on the company's site.

There are not too many details on the rest of the specifications of the phone, yet it is expected to come to the market, if ever released, with HSDPA connectivity support and a 5-megapixel photo snapper. The handset might turn to be a high-end device in the end, though nothing is certain for the time being. And no details on the availability or the price tag of the LG BL40 could be spotted either.
