LG introduced the G4 flagship not so long ago, but so far, the handset hasn’t managed to entice a lot of smartphone enthusiasts. However, that might change soon, as it appears the price of the handset has been revealed to our eyes inadvertently.

Thanks to a couple of giveaways run by Sprint and T-Mobile, the US retail price of LG’s latest and greatest has been divulged.

If you have been mulling over the LG G4, the good news is that the phone will ship out to customers with a cheaper price tag than other current flagships, including the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9.

You could win an LG G4 soon

According to Sprint, “Eight (8) potential winners will each receive one LG G4 (1) smartphone. The estimated Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each prize is $600.”

T-Mobile is a bit more generous, so it is offering seven LG flagships each week, for a month.

“Entry Period 1: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. Approximate Retail Value (‘ARV’): $600.00 each. Entry Period 2: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. ARV: $600.00 each. Entry Period 3: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. ARV: $600.00 each. Entry Period 4: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. ARV: $600.00 each. Total ARV of prizes: $16,800.00.”

So, as you can see, the retail price of the handset seems to be of $600 in the country, which equals €535. However, take into consideration that this might be a subsidized price.

Even so, it’s still $50 / €44 less than what the carriers are asking for the Samsung Galaxy S6 or HTC One M9, but it’s not like we were not expecting this outcome a little bit.

The LG G4 might be worth taking into consideration

Yes, the phone arrives with a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), which is the industry’s standard right now. But LG chose to go with the Snapdragon 808 processor for its flagship, and as the preliminary synthetic benchmarks showed, this unit’s performance pales in comparison to the Exynos 7420 and Snapdragon 810.

Apart from that, the phone has a capable 16MP main camera with OIS and RAW shooting capabilities, and it even supports Quick Charging 2.0.

On the other hand, for less money, you’d be able to get a phone with microSD card slot and removable battery, something that the Galaxy S6 doesn't have. So, how about the LG G4?
