South Korean handset maker LG promised to reveal its next flagship smartphone on April 28. Today, the company confirmed that the LG G4 would be available for purchase in South Korea from April 29 and would eventually arrive on more than 180 carriers worldwide.

Since most of the specs of the LG G4, along with its design features leaked over the past few weeks, let's see what's been confirmed and what's been left out.

First of all, it looks like LG dropped Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset due to the overheating issues that have reportedly been affecting other smartphones embedding it, including the HTC One M9.

Although Qualcomm managed to fix these problems, LG wanted to be sure that its flagship smartphone won't be affected by any other issues.

Hexa-core CPU and impressive 16MP camera

This is why LG G4 comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with X10 LTE chipset, which accommodates a dual-core 1.8GHz Cortex A57 CPU and a 1.44GHz quad-core Cortex A53 CPU.

In addition, the chipset packs an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Another major highlight of the G4 would be the impressive 16-megapixel camera on the back, which features phase detection (laser) autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization), dual-LED flash and 4K video recording.

Also, LG G4 has a secondary no less impressive 8-megapixel camera in the front, which features full HD (1080p) video recording.

As expected, LG's flagship boasts an hyper vibrant 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.

It keeps the same battery, but offers less time usage

LG G4 will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box, and it will be powered by a removable 3,000 mAh battery. It also comes with wireless charging (Qi technology), fast battery charging (60% in 30 minutes), as well as LTE.

According to LG, the G4 will sell in many different colors such as: Metallic Gray, Ceramic White, Shiny Gold, Leather Black, Leather Brown, Leather Sky Blue, Leather Beige, Leather Yellow, and Leather Red.
