Last week, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics unveiled to the world its latest Android-based flagship smartphone, and it seems that the company is already working on a smaller version of the device, called LG G3 mini.

The handset has made an appearance online today with model number LGD722 attached to it, providing us with some info on the hardware specs it might arrive on shelves with.

The phone has been spotted on Zauba, the Indian import-export tracker, and appears set to arrive on the market with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display of unknown resolution.

Moreover, the listing unveils that LG could release the device with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside, as well as with 8GB of internal memory. A microSD memory card slot might also be included, although it hasn’t been mentioned as of now.

No specific info on the smartphone’s RAM has been provided, but we can imagine that it will sport at least 1GB, so as to be able to deliver decent performance capabilities.

Said listing also unveils that the mobile phone could arrive on the market with a 5-megapixel camera on the back, supposedly capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, and that it would be powered by a 2100mAh battery.

The rest of the hardware specifications that the LG G3 mini might arrive on shelves with hasn’t been unveiled for the time being, though we should expect the device to sport the usual connectivity capabilities inside, while running under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

According to mylgphones, the LGD722 handset is most probably set to become available for purchase in Europe, while other markets out there will receive the LG G3 mini with other model numbers attached to it.

One thing that you should keep in mind at the moment, however, is the fact that there is no official confirmation available on the LG G3 mini, which means that you should take the info above with a grain of salt.

However, LG has already released mini versions of its flagship handsets, the same as other mobile phone makers out there did, which suggests that an LG G3 mini might indeed be planned for launch sooner or later.

For the time being, it seems that the company is still testing the device for compatibility on various markets out there, and no info on when we might see it on shelves is available. However, it might not be too long before more details on the device emerge online, so stay tuned to learn the news.
