With less than two weeks left until IFA 2014 trade fair is set to kick off, LG has taken the wraps off its G3 Stylus mid-range Android smartphone.

This is not the first time we hear about the LG G3 Stylus, as the smartphone leaked earlier this month in a commercial run by the South Korean company.

It looks like LG did not want to wait until early next month to unveil the G3 Stylus, probably for fear of it not being in the center of attention due to other announcements that are set to go live around the same timeframe.

Anyway, the LG G3 Style does look like a premium smartphone, but it offers lots of mid-range features. The good news is that the smartphone will be available “at a fair price,” according to the handset maker.

The company also announces that the LG G3 Stylus will be available in 3G markets such as Brazil beginning September followed by countries in Asia, Middle East and Africa, as well as CIS.

From LG’s statement, we assume the smartphone will not be available in the United States or Europe anytime soon, but we shouldn’t rule out this possibility. No word on pricing options yet, but LG states that more details will be unveiled locally at the time of launch.

Specs-wise, LG G3 Stylus is a mid-range smartphone in a premium body. The phone sports a large 5.5-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display, though the device was previously rumored to pack a 5.7-inch HD (720p) display.

In addition, the phablet is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card.

One of the phone’s strong points will be the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera in the front for video calls.

As the name suggests, the phablet comes bundled with a stylus. It also worth mentioning that the G3 Stylus will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box and will be powered by a high-capacity 3000 mAh battery.

LG G3 Stylus will be available in various color options, including black, white and gold. The smartphone will be showcased at IFA 2014 trade fair early next month.

“With its exceptional hardware and exceptional price that can’t be beat, the LG G3 Stylus is in a category all by itself. The LG G3 Stylus is the perfect tool for consumers who don’t want to be bogged down carrying a laptop, tablet and smartphone. It gets things done and lets you have fun while doing without having to compromise on quality, style or user experience,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
