The smaller version of LG G2 is expected to arrive in Europe sometime this week for around €350 ($480), but the smartphone has been confirmed for release worldwide.

According to LG, the G2 mini will be available in three variants, depending on the market. The US market is likely to receive the Qualcomm-based version with LTE support.

Although no carrier has confirmed the upcoming availability of the G2 mini, the smartphone is likely to arrive at Sprint in the coming weeks, @evleaks claims.

Sprint G2 mini is known as LS885 and is already listed on the carrier’s website (UAProf documents). Even though we know that the smartphone will come equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, it appears that there are some differences between the international version and Sprint’s G2 mini.

According to the UAProf documents, Sprint LG LS885 will sport a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, whereas the international variant features a similar display that supports only 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

We couldn’t pinpoint other differences between Sprint’s LG G2 mini and the international variant, but we will know more once the US-based carrier makes it official.

Software-wise, all LG G2 mini variants will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box. The US variant will pack an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

In comparison, the G2 mini variant that will go on sale in Latin America will pack a 13-megapixel main photo snapper and an Nvidia Tegra 4i chipset inside.

It is also worth mentioning that Sprint LG G2 mini will be equipped with an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card. In the front, the smartphone will pack a 1.3-megapixel camera for video recording, which can also capture 720p videos.

The smartphone offers the full connectivity package, including LTE, HSDPA (21Mbps), Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, Infrared port and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. LG G2 mini will be powered by a decent 2440 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

Even though it’s too early to talk about price tag, we expect the LG G2 mini to be available for purchase at Sprint for around $50 (€36) with new 2-year agreements. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
