Unveiled last month, LG G2 has just been confirmed to arrive in the United States and Germany in September. These are the first markets that will receive LG’s flagship smartphone this month, but other countries may be announced within the next few weeks.

The smartphone will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but no info on pricing options has been made official yet.

LG G2 is a powerful smartphone that packs Qualcomm’s latest 2.26 quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. In addition, the device features an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Sadly, the G2 lacks a microSD card slot for memory expansion, but it will offer owners 32GB of internal memory (24GB user available).

It will also come equipped with an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera featuring autofocus, LED flash, full HD (1080p) video recording, OIS (optical image stabilization), face detection and HDR. A secondary 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with 1080p video recording is included as well.

Another strong point of the G2 is the hyper-vibrant 5.2-inch True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and 424 ppi (pixel density). The phone’s display also features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for improved protection against scratches.

In terms of software, LG G2 comes packed with lots of apps and services, including Answer Me, Plug & Pop, QuickRemote and Guest Mode. LG G2 will be showcased at this year’s IFA trade fair, in Berlin, Germany, beginning September 6.

“The positive market feedback after the initial launch in Korea proved to us that the LG G2’s consumer-oriented innovation does resonate with customers. The LG G2 was developed as a global device for a global audience, beyond the scope of any smartphone we’ve introduced to date. I’m confident consumers will see the difference,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Mobile.
