LG’s flagship smartphone, G2, has been confirmed to arrive in India on September 30, but those anxious to grab one can pre-order the device from various major retailers in the country.

AndroidOS reports that Saholic has the LG G2 up for pre-order for no less than Rs 40,499 outright, which is about $645 or €480. The smartphone is available in both white and black color options and will be delivered on September 30.

The G2 will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but the South Korean company is expected to upgrade its flagship smartphone to Android 4.3 or even Android 4.4 KitKat in the coming months.

The bad news is that the smartphone does not come with dual-SIM support, which is something that Indian customers would definitely want.

However, the G2 is one of the most powerful smartphones soon to be available on the market thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset that accommodates a quad-core processor clocked at 2.26 GHz, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Another strong point of the high-end smartphone is the hyper-vibrant 5.2-inch True HD IPS+ LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, 424 ppi (pixel density) and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

The smartphone will offer Indian customers the advantages of an incredible 13-megapixel rear-facing camera that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. The G2 also packs a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

One of the few downsides of the LG G2 is the fact that it lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion, so Indian users will be limited to 32GB of storage.

Last but not least, the flagship smartphone is powered by a high-capacity 3000 Li-Polymer battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
