LG unveiled the mini version of its flagship smartphone, the G2, back in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 trade fair. Initially, the South Korean company confirmed that the smartphone would go on sale beginning March for a price that would be revealed closer to release.

However, the handset maker backtracked on its initial statement and announced that the LG G2 Mini would be rolled out internationally starting April.

Rumors on the G2 Mini’s price tag emerged less than three weeks ago, when a few German retailers claimed that the smartphone would be available for purchase for €350 (£290 / $485) off contract.

However, UK-based retailer Clove has just announced that the LG G2 Mini is now available for pre-order through its official online store for only £250 (€305 / $420) outright.

Customers can pre-purchase the black version of the G2 Mini beginning today, but they will only receive their device sometime in late April.

According to Clove, first stock of G2 Mini devices is expected to arrive in late April, so there’s a slight chance that some customers may get their pre-ordered handsets in early May.

The LG G2 Mini will be available in other European countries as well, but for the time being, we only have info on the UK release date and pricing options.

It is also worth mentioning that UK customers will be able to buy one of the three available LG G2 Mini variants that will be launched on the market this year.

The UK version comes with LTE support and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 processor inside. However, there are two other versions that will be launched in other regions, such as Nvidia Tegra 4 model and another one without LTE connectivity.

Android fans in the UK may want to know that the LG G2 Mini will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box and a large 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

Aside from the quad-core CPU, the smartphone packs an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

This version of LG G2 Mini sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, but there’s another model that comes with an enhanced 13-megapixel photo snapper.
