Good news for those waiting for one of the most powerful Android smartphones announced recently, as LG has just confirmed that the G2 will be officially introduced in India on September 30.

Fonearena reports that LG India has just sent invitations to a press event that will take place on September 30, where it will officially introduce the G2.

We don’t have any info regarding the phone’s price tag and availability, but we can safely assume that it will go on sale via major retailers across the country in early October.

LG’s flagship smartphone will be delivered with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. Hopefully, the South Korean handset maker will offer an upgrade in the coming month, though LG is known for updating its Android smartphones much later than other companies.

Hardware-wise, the G2 is one of the most powerful on the market and is matched in performance by only a few other devices, like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 for example, which is about to make its debut in the coming weeks.

It comes equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 800 chipset that accommodates a 2.26 quad-core processor inside, along with an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

For those who are still unfamiliar with LG G2’s specs sheet, the smartphone boasts a hyper-vibrant 5.2-inch True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

When it comes to storage, the G2 provides either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory. Sadly, LG did not include a microSD card slot for memory expansion, so that’s all users get aside from the cloud storage space offered for free.

Another strong point of the LG G2 is the 13-megapixel main camera that features LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording. It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone is powered by a high-capacity 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery.
