Today, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has officially announced the release of its LG G Pro 2 smartphone in India, and some retailers in the country have already added it to their offering, it seems.

Mobile phone users in India interested in the purchase of the smartphone can now head over to Snapdeal to grab the device, as it has already been listed on the retailer’s website.

Just as previously rumored, the LG G Pro 2 arrives in India with a price tag of Rs. 49,890 ($829/€598) attached to it and is said to be dispatched in three business days to all those who will order it.

As BGR.in notes, earlier this week, Mumbai-based retailer @MaheshTelecom announced that the device would be landing on shelves in India at around Rs. 50,000, and it seems that all is official now.

The smartphone can be seen on this page on Snapdeal’s website with the aforementioned price tag attached, all dressed up in white.

Moreover, the LG G Pro 2 D838 arrives on shelves in India with all the specs and features that were announced for it before, including a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor for increased performance capabilities.

The mobile phone packs Adreno 330 and 3GB of RAM, which should go along just fine with the aforementioned CPU, while also featuring 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for storage expansion purposes (it supports cards of up to 64GB).

The LG G Pro 2 has been launched with a large form factor, packing a 5.9-inch IPS touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution.

On the back of this device, LG has packed a 13-megapixel camera that features Optical Image Stabilization and also offers support for full HD video recording. Moreover, it features Panorama, Burst Shot, Dual Camera, auto focus, and other features as well.

The smartphone also comes to the market with a 2MP front camera for making video calls, along with the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors.

Moreover, the handset is powered by a Li-Ion 3200mAh battery, which should be able to provide users with up to 14 hours of talk time, or with up to 370 hours of standby time.

The LG G Pro 2 runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system but also features LG’s Optimus UI loaded on top, which provides its users with a series of exclusive features and applications.

As fonearena notes, LG G Pro 2 has been announced in India in Black and White color flavors. Soon, more retailers in the country might add it to their offerings, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
