I hate to be the bearer of bad news again, but here it goes. Indian users hoping to get their hands on an LG G Pad 8.3 tablet will be disappointed to learn that the Korean tech giant won’t be bringing the slate to the country.

The news was uncovered by iGyaan after talking to an official LG representative in India who explained that the Indian market doesn't seem a lofty place to bring a tablet to at the moment.

“LG will also not launch the G Pad 8.3 in India, the company believes that larger smartphones have become a trend. In a market like India, a user prefers a phone call and data capable Smartphone over a non-connected larger screen tablet.”

And it’s true LG hasn't rolled out a cellular capable version for its G Pad 8.3 yet, and with phablets rising in popularity (as explained in a recent study) the company’s decision might make sense. Not that a lot of users will be happy about it.
