Mobile phone users in Australia will be able to purchase the LG G Flex smartphone starting with the next month, when it becomes available in the country, exclusively through Harvey Norman.

The smartphone was made official last year with a flexible curved screen and with a Self-Healing back plate, and it has already arrived on shelves in various markets around the world.

According to a recent article on Ausdroid, LG has also decided to release it in Australia, and it has partnered with said retailer for the phone’s launch.

Starting today, users can pre-order the mobile phone through Harvey Norman, for a price tag of $999 (US$880/€646), which makes it more expensive compared to other devices in the country.

However, the retailer will also provide users with some incentives to grab the device, including a gift voucher, provided that they commit to an Optus “My Plan” in February.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the smartphone comes to the market with a 6-inch 1280 x 720 pixels Curved P-OLED (Real RGB) display, while being powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 processor.

Moreover, LG G Flex sports 2GB of RAM, along with 32GB of internal memory, and is powered by a 3500mAh non-removable battery.

On the back, the mobile phone features a 13-megapixel camera with support for full HD video recording, complemented by a 2.1MP front-facing camera for video calling while on the go.

LG G Flex also sports the usual set of connectivity capabilities, along with the full range of sensors, measures 160.5 x 81.6 x 7.9 – 8.7mm, and weighs 177grams. The mobile phone runs under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

LG also released the handset with the power and volume buttons placed on the back, the same as on the LG G2, as well as with features such as KnockOn, Plug & Pop, Guest Mode, and 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi Audio playback.
