Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers has just made available a new mobile phone that runs under Google's Android operating system, the LG Eve. This way, it becomes the third Android-based device Rogers offers to its users, following the previous availability of HTC Dream and HTC Magic, the first two handsets to have ever surfaced on the market with Android on board.

[ADMARk=1]The fresh LG Eve has appealing specs and features, including the already known S-Class user interface from the South Korean mobile phone maker, a 3-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 320 pixel resolution, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video recording capabilities, and a great media editor.

At the same time, the new mobile phone also comes with a slide-out 5-line QWERTY keyboard, built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi connectivity, accelerometer, a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 16GB of additional storage space, with a 2GB memory card included in the package. A great deal of other features are included with this handset as well (such as access to a series of Android applications or social networking services), so Canadian mobile phone users will certainly have what to enjoy.

As for the price tag these features will come around with on the new LG Eve, it has been set at $49.99 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the carrier, but users can also enjoy the device with two- and one-year agreements or off contract. The price will range from $299.99 with the two-year contract to $349.99 on a one-year one and month-to-month, and to $399.99 on a pre-paid basis.

The phone has been rumored to come to Rogers at the beginning of November, and it seems that the wireless carrier managed to prove the rumors as being real. Recently, it also launched the new BlackBerry Bold 9700, offering a great deal of attractive devices to its users.
