Confirmed last week, LG Encore is now rolling out from AT&T carrier and boasts excellent features and good price. The feature-phone targets social networking service fans that are looking for an affordable touch phone

Leaked for the first time little while ago, LG Encore has the price of a mid-entry handset, but includes high-end features. This is probably the main attraction of the mobile phone, as well as the marvellous design that the Korean manufacturer is also known for.

The handset comes with a 3-inch TFT touch display (400 x 240 pixels resolution) and the proprietary LG touch UI. The phone features quad-band compatibility GSM/EDGE, as well as dual-band 850/1900Mhz.

It comes with 3.6Mbps HSDPA, built-in aGPS, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, 32 MB internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16 GB), and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR with support for A2DP.

On the back of the touch phone, there's a 3.0-megapixel camera with video capture capabilities, which is also compatible with AT&T's Video Share service.

Further, LG Encore includes an attractive media player that features streaming radio stations and certified Dolby Mobile playback.

To make the phone more appealing, LG Encore is also pre-loaded with AT&T's SocialNet software for social networking. The mobile phone also features a 3.5mm headset jack, which enables users the possiblity to attach their own headphones.

LG Encore is available for purchase from AT&T starting Sunday, September 5. The phone can be bought for as low as $49.99 with a 2-year service agreement and a $50.00 online discount.

Those that are not buying the phone online won't benefit from the $50 discount and will have to pay $99.99 and still activate with a 2-year service contract.

Good news for those that hate contracts or locked phones, as LG Encore will be available unlocked and free of contract for only $199.99.
