As announced last week, Verizon Wireless has released the LG Decoy handset today ? the very first mobile phone to come with a detachable Bluetooth headset that's integrated into the case of the phone.

LG Decoy can be bought as of now, for $179.99, with a contract agreement for two years (after a $50 mail-in rebate), both online, from Verizon's website, and via the carrier's retail stores across the US.

Together with the handset's availability for purchase, Verizon and LG have also unveiled its full list of specs. Thus, we now know that Decoy offers the following features: a 2.2 inch "mirror-like" display with 240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors, dual-band CDMA connectivity with EV-DO, VZ Navigator, V CAST Music and V Cast Video, Music player (MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+ supported), Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, Web and email capabilities, a 2.0 Megapixel camera with video recording, Hearing aid compatibility, USB and microSD card support for up to an extra of 8GB. LG Decoy weighs 4.05 ounces (115 grams) and, when closed, it measures 4.01 x 1.97 x 0.67 inches (102 x 50 x 17 millimeters). Its 800 mAh battery can provide up to 230 minutes of talk-time and up to 330 hours of stand-by time.

The integrated Bluetooth headset of LG Decoy can be easily detached from its dock found on the back case of the handset, used and then put back, with the same easiness. The headset is automatically charged when the phone is charged and it can offer a talk-time of up to 2 hours or a stand-by time of up to 80 hours.

LG Decoy is part of the new LG line-up of handsets that Verizon is offering this summer. The other two devices made by the South Korean company are LG Dare, a full touchscreen phone that will be available at the end of June, and LG Chocolate 3, the first clamshell from the Chocolate series, which should hit the market sometime in July.
