LG Decoy, first spotted on the Web at the beginning of the year, is finally making its way to the pockets of those who want to buy it, as its release date seems to be set for the 16th of June. The phone will be offered, as already known, only by Verizon Wireless, the second largest mobile carrier in the US.

Initially said to be released at the end of May, the new LG handset (also known as LG VX8610) is coming with a two-week delay, but this will surely not stop users from buying it. Especially since, according to Phone Arena, Decoy will be offered for reasonable prices: $179 with a contract agreement for two years and $249 with a contract agreement for only one year (both prices are "obtained" after a 50 buck mail-in rebate). For consumers who don't want any kind of contract, the phone comes for $349, which is still a good retail price.

With a pretty nice slider form factor, the new LG Decoy features: a QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) TFT display with support for up to 262K colors, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS (apparently), Media player (music and video),Web and email capabilities, Instant Messaging, a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording, microUSB and microSD card support. A cool feature of LG Decoy is its detachable Bluetooth headset that has a special dock on the back case, where it can be easily introduced and "act" like it's a part of the handset.

LG Decoy VX8610 should be available in several color versions (at least a silver and a blue one), so users will have different options to choose from. All we have to do now is wait for an official declaration from Verizon to confirm the June 16 release date of the phone.
