Everyone who loves the LEGO universe (and let's face it, there are very few people who don't) will be glad to hear that the company has decided to finally officially endorse a LEGO USB flash drive, coming in the shape of one of their famous mini-figures.

Without a doubt, just about every one of us has played at least once with the famous building blocks and figurines from LEGO, that helped develop our imagination, allowing us to create all sorts of fictional universes and adventures in a very engaging manner.

So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that, for many grow-up people out there (you’re truly included), LEGO still remains a favorite pastime, one that will be most likely gladly shared with the future generations.

Anyway, moving back to the announcement at hand, it's interesting to note that, after quite a lot of companies have released LEGO-inspired storage products onto the market, the toy manufacturer has finally decided that releasing such a device of their own is quite a good idea, and incorporated a 2GB flash storage module into one of their famous minifigures.

Working with both PC and Mac systems, the Minifigure flash drive is quite a cool-looking product that, however, is plagued by two major issues.

So, first of all, the 2GB storage space is not exactly fantastic, according to today's standards, while at the same time, the USB 2.0 interfaces this thing uses is rather last-gen, with lower data transfer rates than SuperSpeed USB.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that the new 2GB LEGO Minifigure 2GB USB Flash Drive sells for around 24 US dollars, which is, in fact, a rather high price point for a 2GB flash drive, but most likely well worth it, given the fact that we're talking about an officially-branded LEGO product.
