Pure music for your ears

The LARS is one nifty all-tube amplifier for those of the audiophiles who feel like they've finally had it with all the other audio gears incapable of delivering truly pure sound. And when it comes to purity, grey noise is one of the nastiest things which could happen to your sound: this kind of noise is the one responsible for ear fatigue and confuse perception of tonal subtleties that can easily lead to more stress instead of a relaxed state.

This amplifier is the brainchild of Lars and Timo Engstrom and it has one special goal: delivering a truly clean sound you'll surely love from the very first audition. By closely measuring and analyzing each step in sound amplification, the creators of this unique amp wanted to make sure that it would sound like no other.

Thanks to Lars' extensive expertise in the field of electronics and electric systems, the whole design of this amplifier is now capable of remaining faithful to the original sound recorded, without altering it and without adding any of the undesired “sonic parasites” usually plaguing systems of lesser quality. While the vacuum tubes inside the LARS have been especially tested and perfectly matched to make sure they work in compatibility, the whole circuitry sports zero negative feedback. The TIM, or Transient InterModulation distortion, is the one responsible for the hindering impact some sounds have on our hearing.

And to attain such a goal, a linear amplification process was needed, capable of raising the volume without adding any color to the original signal; triode valves were used to maintain the linearity of the signal flow, while C-core transformers and high-class foil-capacitors ensured the current flow remained pure. Even more, the LARS went through a careful inspection for its every millimeter and every aspect to make sure that the sonic performance lived up to the amp's looks. And with Timo's majestic design combining transparent glass panels and a luxurious wooded base, the LARS will not only sound great but also mean a wonderful addition in any decor. The price is still unknown, yet we're not expecting anything cheap.
