A Vietnamese-themed restaurant in Los Angeles is using social media to embarrass no-shows who reserve tables, taking up space which could be used by other patrons.

If you miss your reservation at the Red Medicine in Beverly Hills, your name stands to be posted on Twitter along with a smirky comment reminding you that haven't kept your word.

Owner Noah Ellis's policy also applies to canceling your reservation shortly before you are supposed to arrive at the restaurant.

"Either restaurants are forced to overbook and make the guests (that actually showed up) wait, or they do what we do, turn away guests for some prime-time slots because they're booked, and then have empty tables," he explains.

Twitter shaming will only be applied to weekend bookings, at rush-hour eating times, he tells Gawker.
