Kylie Minogue says she’s no longer using Botox, didn’t have a facelift and never works out

A little over a year ago, singer and beauty icon Kylie Minogue admitted she’d tried Botox and other procedures to fight the signs of old age, saying “I’ve tried it all.” This was taken as an admission of having some surgery as well, but that’s a claim she’s firmly denying in a new interview with News of the World, in which she says her only secret is a jar of Pond’s cream.

Whether Kylie has turned to Botox and plastic surgery to maintain her youthful appearance (she’s 41 now) has long become tabloid fodder. If, back in April last year, the singer admitted to trying “it all,” she also insisted that she would no longer do so because she wanted to learn how to grow old gracefully. After a string of recent appearances in which she seemed completely wrinkle-free, the singer is speaking up to refute rumors that she’s had a facelift, telling the News of the World reporter that he may very well look behind her ears for scars for he wouldn’t find any.

“People want to check behind my ears for surgery scars. But you can look yourself, I don’t have any. I wouldn’t want to go under the knife. You’re not yourself if you do that. I’m healthy, I’m with a man I love and I’m happy. It feels good. So I have to embrace my age, I have lines just like the next girl now. I’ve been honest about the fact that I did use Botox. But I don’t any more, I won’t go near it. I have lines. You can see the lines on my face,” Kylie explains.

Her secret weapon against signs of ageing is a cream from Pond’s, which is not even that expensive, being available for £3.99. Her mother used it before that and, one day, prompted by curiosity, Kylie too gave it a go and was extremely surprised to see that it actually did work. Moreover, the petite singer admits that not even her enviable figure is the result of hard work on her part: occasionally, she goes on a diet, she says but, other than that, she relies on her good metabolism and even better body makeup and smart lighting.

“I honestly don’t really work out. But I use a lot of body make-up which helps. I do a low carb diet, especially if I know I’m going to do a photo shoot. But it’s not really dieting, just last minute panicking! I’m body confident and I don’t really have to work for it which will make people annoyed. But it’s kind of true. I don’t work out like Madonna does, that's hardcore, so I don’t think so!” the singer goes on to say.
