It's been a while since she's had a role on the big screen, but Kylie Minogue seems to be multi-tasking these days very well. After she's released a brand new album, the Australian singer, who has been living in Britain for a while now, is reported to have landed a part in the disaster movie “San Andreas.”

She is going to join the action star Dwayne The Rock Johnson, who is the main character in the movie, as well as Carla Gucino, Alexandra Daddario, Colton Haynes and Ioan Gruffudd, who play additional parts in the production, according to Aceshowbiz.

The movie is directed by Brad Peyton and is going to tell the story of a devastating earthquake that hits California. The Rock is going to play a burly helicopter-rescue pilot who will risk his life to save his daughter after the earthquake hits.

Minogue's part hasn't been yet revealed, but it's going to be her first role since 2012, when she appeared in the movie “Jack and Diane,” and later in the “Holy Motors” production. Older audiences will remember that she also had parts in movies such as “Street Fighter” and “Moulin Rouge” back in the day.

The movie “San Andreas” will be released in cinemas on June 5, 2015.
