Kylie Minogue in the just released video for her brand new single “All the Lovers” off the “Aphrodite” album

Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue is making a comeback and, by the looks and sound of her first single off her upcoming studio material, “All the Lovers,” she’s out to make a splash on the US market again. Given the dance-friendly market here and the fact that videos of the kind Kylie has shot will always be popular no matter what, she stands good chances of burning up the charts again, HitFix believes.

After all, it’s been quite some time since she managed to do so in the US – since she came out with “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” for that matter. “All the Lovers,” though, has the makings of a hit, boasting a very campy and uptempo track, with a video to match. The latter resembles “Slow,” that Minogue shot in Barcelona in 2003, to a certain extent, but also differs from it in that it features doves and a single white horse towards the end.

“It’s been eight years since the Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue had her biggest hit ever in the US, ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head,’ and after going in some divergent directions musically since then, she’s attempting to make some noise in a market that’s happily dance friendly again. Minogue’s latest single is ‘All the Lovers,’ an uptempo dance track that is lighter and more upbeat than anything Lady Gaga has hit with, but for summer it just might work. And, more importantly, it’s guaranteed gold in the diva’s main markets of Europe and Australia,” HitFix writes.

Directed by Joseph Kahn (Britney Spears’ ‘Womanizer,’ Eminem’s ‘We Made You’) and shot in downtown Los Angeles, the video for the single features Minogue being lifted to the sky by a growing mass of beautiful people kissing each other. […] As it ends, Minogue is on top of a giant mountain of people mirroring the skyscrapers of LA. The most important lesson Ms. Minogue wants to teach us? Apparently, colored underwear is out, tighty whities are back in,” the same movie oriented e-zine says of the video.

The single comes out later this month, on June 13, when fans will be able to buy it from iTunes. The album, “Aphrodite,” is scheduled for release on July 5, with Kylie saying of “All the Lovers” she knew from the start she would choose it as the lead single because it perfectly embodies the euphoria of the entire album.
