14 DAY TRIAL // Kanye West and Jessica Simpson weren’t the only A-listers to put in an appearance during the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, now at its 84th edition: Aussie Kylie Minogue was also there.
The star, now trying to break on the US market with her more recent album, got on top of a floating duck to perform her latest song, “Get Outta My Way,” ContactMusic reports.
Dressed cozily and very appropriately for late November and the cold weather of NYC, the pint-sized diva did her best of the one and a half minute destined for her to showcase her song (none of the performances were live).
“Kylie Minogue, the 42-year-old Australian pop superstar, performed her single ‘Get Outta My Way’ at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City yesterday (25th November 2010),” ContactMusic writes.
“The singer was sporting a heavy winter coat and matching fur hat as she wowed crowds at the traditional parade in Manhattan,” the e-zine notes.
“Minogue performed the song atop of one of the parade's 'floats', and other stars to perform at the event included Kanye West, country music sensation Miranda Cosgrove, and Jessica Simpson,” the same publication further says.
Nevertheless, judging by the reception all these stars got, one may be justified to say that it was Kylie who stole the thunder with her performance, even if the others were not that far behind her.
“It was Minogue who stole the show as tens of thousands of onlookers applauded and cheered the pop princess as she promoted her new album ‘Aphrodite’,” ContactMusic writes.
Speaking of the other performers, as we also noted earlier today, Kanye West did “Lost in the World” off his latest album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” while Jessica Simpson lip-synched through her first single off the “Happy Christmas” album, “My Only Wish.”
