14 DAY TRIAL // The youngest of the Kardashian - Jenner family, 17-year-old Kylie Jenner, is speaking again out on rumors that she’s had lots of plastic surgery done particularly on her face. She didn’t, she says: whatever difference we notice is down to makeup and growing up.
Kylie is the latest ambassador of the Nip + Fab brand, which, by the way, sells products for mature or ageing skin. On her recent visit to London to promote their products, she talked to Grazia about her beauty routine and also said a few words about those reports that she had plenty of work done at such a young age.
“Stop talking about my lips”
You don’t have to call yourself a Kardashian fan to notice that something is drastically different about Kylie today, as compared to how she looked less than a year ago. Not only is she dressing more provocatively (and allegedly dating a 25-year-old rapper), but she also seems “fuller” in certain areas, like her lips, her breasts and even her backside.
Rumor has it that she’s already had extensive work done and that she’s turning into a younger version of her older and more famous half-sister Kim Kardashian. In fact, in some of her own Instagram shots, Kylie bears a striking resemblance to Kim, down to the lips and the famous curves.
Well, the teen is sick and tired of hearing people talk about the kind of work she “allegedly” had done.
“I'm like, ‘Stop talking about my lips’,” she tells Grazia. “I haven't had plastic surgery. I've never been under the knife. People flashback to pictures of me when I was 12 and say ‘Kylie's so different,’ but how can I look the same from 12 to 18?”
She also chatted with the magazine about her beauty and makeup routine (video below), and she admitted that lip liner and lipstick “definitely” changed her life.
Kylie, the style chameleon
As of last year, “Kylie Jenner lip tutorials” became the hottest thing online in beauty and makeup, which is proof that her fans / supporters believe her when she says her lips aren’t artificially enhanced, at least not on a semi-permanent basis.
She claims she lines her lips past their natural line and then fills in with lipstick, which creates the illusion that they’re fuller. The secret, she once said, is to always use matte lipstick, because a color with more shine doesn’t do the trick.
She also claims to pout a certain way for photos, which, again, makes her lips appear fuller.
Whether she likes it or not, all this speculation about her lips has helped her become a style chameleon / icon among young women. And it’s not just her makeup style that’s getting copied: her colorful hairstyles and fashion style are also a hit with regular girls and women, who go to great lengths to look like her on their daily errands.
