14 DAY TRIAL // Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner girls, is still living with her mother, who is also her manager, Kris Jenner. Kylie will be 18 this summer and she’s already made plans to move out of the family home once she’s of age, having bought her own mansion she’s now busy decorating.
Even though a recent episode of the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians showed Kylie getting grilled by older half-sisters Khloe and Kim for not having a single idea of what it means to live on her own, she says she’s perfectly fine on her own. In fact, she’s been supporting herself for years already.
Kris Jenner cut Kylie off when she was 14
Kylie may be young but she’s already quite the businesswoman: her resume includes stints on reality television (with the family, on the E!-produced KWUTK), a clothing and accessories line with sister Kendall, a Young-Adult fictional novel (also with Kendall), modeling gigs and countless endorsement deals.
Her latest is a partnership with Nip + Fab, which actually caters to the mature segment, but Kylie swears by their products and is willing to shill them whichever chance she gets. A good example is her interview with InStyle UK, in which she also drops this bit about being financially independent for the past 3 years of her life.
Kylie, much like the rest of the Kardashians, never discusses money issues with the media, except to say that she makes a lot of it.
“My mom cut me off financially three years ago so I pay for everything,” she says. “My car, my gas and food as well as my clothes. There are so many outfits I bought in the past that I just think now are NOT cute - but there’s not very much I can do about it!”
However, Kylie still lives with Kris, so at least she could save up money to buy a house during all this time.
Kylie doesn’t work out, loves getting dolled up
In the same interview, Kylie talks about how she hates to exercise and still takes advantage of the fact that she’s young and her metabolism takes care of itself without her having to do anything. Obviously, she knows this can’t last forever, but for the time being, she’s OK with it.
Again, this is not something new, just like talking about her much she loves to get dolled up isn’t. Kylie’s beauty routine is complicated and time-consuming, but she thoroughly enjoys going through it.
In fact, now that she looks back on certain episodes of KUWTK, she’s unpleasantly surprised to see she didn’t put in more of an effort when she could have. This is a mistake she won’t be making any time soon.
