The official website of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Lebanon (lp.gov.lb) has been breached by the members of the Team Kuwait Hackers group.

The hacktivists have defaced the site’s home page to post a protest message in which they accuse the Lebanese government of supporting the Syrian regime and Hezbollah, HackRead informs.

“The Huzbullah has always bullied Sunni Muslims and now it is doing same with destructed Syria. The President of Syria Bashar Ul Assad is a sheep,” the hackers wrote on the defaced page.

At the time of writing, the site of the Lebanese parliament was restored.

Earlier this month, Team Kuwait Hackers defaced the website of Iraq’s Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki (pmo.iq). At the time, the hacktivists accused Iraq’s PM of being a “destroyer” just like Bashar al-Assad, the president of Syria.
