And since he was in the zone, he said PS5 and PS6 are also on the horizon

The PS3 isn't moving a toe anywhere in the world, yet Ken Kuataragi, the father of PlayStation (recently stepped off from the position of Chairman and chief executive officer of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.), hints at the PlayStation4 console. WHAT? That's right, PS4 and maybe more. Hey, that rhymes! Eurogamer posts Kutaragi's statements: "We've introduced PS3 in Europe, so now I can openly talk about [...] As a matter of course, I have the vision of PlayStation 4, 5 and 6, which will merge into the network."

OK, sorry to burst anyone's bubble here but what Kutaragi is implying is far from taking shape any time in the next 6 or 7 years. Not those PS5 and PS6 anyway. What's the matter with him going on saying stuff like this? I can understand that he's a man of great vision and stuff like that, but not that great. Anyway, as he says, Ken Kutaragi is now focused on exploiting the opportunities offered by connectivity: "The design concept of the Cell processor is the network processor."

However, as he has recently stepped off from his position with SCEI, Kutaragi told EE Times that he would continue his relationship with Sony, but that he would be independent for the most part: "Now I'm ready to start working with a much wider world."

This last part kind of sounded better, deep actually, but saying PS4, PS5 and PS6 in the same sentence like that gives people the shivers. Kutaragi should be careful with his statements from now on, so he doesn't cause gamers heart attacks.
