EA Mobile has released a brand new action game for mobile phones, based on the upcoming Kung Fu Panda animation movie produced by DreamWorks, the studio behind smash-hit films like Shrek, Madagascar and Bee Movie.

Staying true to the original story, the Kung Fu Panda mobile game brings Po, the cute panda bear, to your handset, and asks you to help him in the attempt to defend the so-called Valley of Peace and become a Kung Fu expert. Or, for those who want to play with the bad guy, the game also allows users to take the role of Tai Lung, the villain that Po will have to defeat.

Kung Fu Panda comes with ten levels full of action, various kung fu styles, hidden power-ups, a surprise "unlockable character" and many more features that promise to offer a great time to all players.

"We're huge DreamWorks Animation fans, and we jumped at the chance to create a mobile game based on one of their films. Kung Fu Panda is a natural fit for a game. The story's engaging characters, inspirational message and fast action made it easy to create an irresistible mobile game experience," says Travis Boatman, Vice-President, Worldwide Studios, EA Mobile.

Kerry Phelan, Head of Worldwide Consumer Products for DreamWorks Animation, added: "We wanted to provide a game based on the movie that would extend the Kung Fu Panda experience in new, inventive ways on mobile phones. Kung Fu Panda from EA Mobile offers an engaging experience that captures the great action and humor of the film."

The new Kung Fu Panda mobile game is available only in the US for the moment and can be bought directly from EA Mobile's website, found at this address. European gamers who want to take some Kung Fu courses together with Po will also have the chance to get the game, but later in June.
