Kristen Stewart, star of the “Twilight” franchise, has again incurred the wrath of many after publicly blasting her former teachers for not showing her more support in school, for which reason, she says in a new interview, she dropped out.

Raised in a family with lots of experience in the movie industry, Kristen started getting acting jobs at the age of 8 and she eventually dropped out of school in seventh grade.

In a recent interview cited by The Age, the actress says the reason she stopped going to school was because her teachers were not supportive of her acting and wouldn’t go the extra mile to help her catch up on her studies.

In doing so, they “failed” her – without exception, the actress stresses.

“School became genuinely uncomfortable. I was feeling a little self-conscious about the acting thing with my peers, but also my teachers became a problem,” Kristen recalls.

“They didn’t want to do the extra work or put packages together so I could keep up while away,” she adds.

“They failed me. My teachers failed me. Not one, but all of them. I’m always slightly ashamed in a way, about what I do,” Kristen goes on to say.

“I’m slightly embarrassed as I had such serious ambitions when I was younger, I just never imagined that I would ever have a reason not go to school. But then this happened,” she adds.

While she is probably right in harboring some resentment for having to drop out of school because of her acting career, she’s wrong in placing the blame on the teachers, voices online note.

Oh No They Didn’t even points the finger at her parents, who didn’t think of alternative learning programs for her if they pushed her into acting at such a young age – because she couldn’t have possibly made that decision on her own at 8 years old.

“Teachers have it hard enough as it is and for her to say they ALL failed is a douche move,” the e-zine further writes, calling Kristen’s accusation an “ignorant statement.”
