14 DAY TRIAL // There is only one thing that Kristen Stewart wants for her upcoming 24 birthday, and that's for Robert Pattinson to attend her party. The once quintessential couple of young adult movies has split up when it was uncovered that Kristen cheated on Robert with an older man, the director of one of the films she was starring in.
Now, Hollywoodlife claims to have spoken to an insider close to Stewart, and the word is that she's very keen for Pattinson to accept her invitation to the intimate party she's throwing on April 9, when she'll turn 24.
“Kristen wants to celebrate her upcoming birthday with her close friends in LA, and she wants Rob to join them as well,” claims the source. Although they have kept in touch after their split, it's claimed that Kristen wants her former boyfriend back.
“Even though she hasn’t seen Rob for the longest time, they still talk all the time. They text, Skype. They are both pretty much in the same place right now, just focusing on work and staying focused,” adds the insider, who also points out another thing the actors have in common.
“Neither of them are dating. Things are good between them and it would so make Kristen’s birthday if he joined her. That would be the ultimate birthday gift for her.” It's pretty obvious that the “Twilight” actress regrets her move and wants things to return to normal, but it's still unclear whether Robert is still interested in picking things up where they were left off.
Since their very public and mediated split, both of them have undertaken several cinematic efforts, but have also expressed their wish to engage in other things apart from acting. It's clear that both of them want to steer clear of the international success and fame the “Twilight” franchise has brought them and they're struggling to find a new career path.
While Kristen has begun to take her fashion career seriously, becoming the new face of Chanel and Balenciaga Rosabotanica fragrances, Robert has been working hard on his music, claiming that he is thinking of putting out an album.
Currently, Robert Pattinson is on set in Toronto, Canada, where he is filming for his latest project, “Life,” so there's a slim chance that he'll make a surprise appearance at Stewart's birthday bash, even if it meant the world to her.
