What with shooting for the highly successful “Twilight” franchise, doing media rounds and focusing on other projects as well to help her expand her acting career, it’s no wonder that Kristen Stewart did not have the time to graduate from high school. However, the actress has recently made up for the lost time and, in between breaks, has finished school with honors, as she says in a recent interview quoted by Celebrity Gossip.

However, given the short amount of time that Kristen has to spare, especially now that she’s shooting for the third film in the franchise, “Eclipse,” the star did not get to celebrate the event and enjoy the ceremony like other kids in her situation. This is actually the only thing that she regrets right now – still, with a little bit of imagination, she did manage to have her special celebration moment, as she reveals herself.

“I went to a public school up until junior high. I know it’s a little late and I’m a little old, but I just finished high school-with honors. The other day I was doing a graduation scene on ‘Eclipse,’ and I had just finished high school myself the week before, so I told the crew, ‘Hey, just so you know, I’m actually graduating right now, and I’m not going to have another ceremony.’ So I took a mock picture with an extra. I literally asked the actor to come back and shake my hand and hand me the diploma while I was dressed in a cap and gown.” Stewart explains.

Kristen is, as fans must know, really set on making a name for herself as an actress, having made the decision a while back, when she was still young. She did not specifically set out to bail on school, she admits in the same interview, it just happened. In the last year or so at least, things have precipitated in a manner no one could have really anticipated, what with the success of “Twilight” and the increased media attention. In the end, they just come to prove to Stewart that she made the right decision when she ruled in favor of pursuing her dreams.

“It’s a weird thing to expect a child that young to say what they want to do, like act. I’m not sure it was a natural inclination for me either, but it was something that I fell into. To be honest, I had fun at first. It was the first thing I ever thrived at. My parents are crew. They were both baffled that I wanted to act. But they support anything that me and my brothers want to do. It was something I thought was fun because I grew up on sets. And then a few years later, I grew up and acting became very different to me. I think I was about 13.” the actress explains.
