Embedded below is the official music video for Jenny Lewis’ brand new single, “One of the Guys,” the first release of the album “The Voyagers,” which drops in music stores on July 29.
It stars Kristen and Anne (inarguably two of the hottest young actresses of today), along with Brie Larson, playing backup to Lewis, who is seen strumming on her guitar. At one point, all the ladies dress up as men, with short wigs, fake moustaches, baseball caps and Adidas sweats, the kind that were so popular some years ago.
By some misfortune, Kristen seems to have been stuck with a Justin Bieber-style wig – and the fact that she also looks like the teen heartthrob has already generated lots of jokes online.
Speaking of reactions to the video, the discussion seems to have gone from appreciating its merits or faults towards bashing the “Twilight” star. In the YouTube section alone, Kristen is getting a lot of hate for no other reason than the fact that she’s Kristen.
These people need reminding that this video is not about Kristen, just like it’s not about Anne or Brie: it’s about offering a visual aid to a great song. Enjoy!
