Kim Kardashian didn't fake her wedding and marriage to Kris Humphries for her reality show and she certainly didn't make a dime off either. Contrary to ongoing reports, Kim actually came out of this losing, her mom Kris Jenner says in a new interview.

Mrs. Jenner, as we also informed you the other day, is now promoting a brand new book, her own “Kris Jenner... And All Things Kardashian.”

During a recent radio interview, she was asked to comment on the demise of her daughter's marriage and the rumors that she used it to boost interest in Keeping Up with the Kardashians and to make a lot of money.

It's not true, Kris says. Word online has it that Kim banked $17 million (€12.3 million) in profit from the wedding extravaganza and that neither she nor Humphries paid a cent to make it happen.

False, says Kim's mother.

“The one thing that is the most annoying is the rumor that she made millions off of this wedding,” Kris Jenner says in the interview, as cited by the Daily Mail.

She actually spent a fortune for her special day, which makes those pesky rumors even peskier.

“She didn’t make a dime and, actually, spent millions of dollars on the wedding – so it’s not something that she thought would ever not be happily ever after,” Mrs. Jenner adds.

It's bad enough that she has to deal with the breakup and the divorce, she further says; Kim doesn't need all this negative media attention and people doubting her every move.

“Kim had to make a very difficult, grown-up decision. She needed to do that on her own,” Kris says in the same interview.

“She’s not a five-year-old girl, she’s a 30-year-old woman [Kim turned 31 just recently actually] and right now Kim needs support from her mom today,” Mrs. Jenner adds.

Also in a bid to make the rumors stop, Kim too shot down talks of a sham marriage in an open letter to fans she posted on her official webpage.

In it, as we also informed you earlier today, she says she married for love and is in a lot of pain that it didn't work out – hearing that people doubt her motives hurts her even more.
