14 DAY TRIAL // Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s marriage is about to implode, and momager Kris Jenner is sitting on the sidelines, eagerly waiting for it to happen. According to a new report, Kris is seriously urging Khloe to divorce her husband.
Trouble for the two started about a couple of years ago when, if one is to believe reports online, he started dabbling into crack cocaine, to which he soon became addicted.
Without telling anyone from her family, Khloe repeatedly tried to get Lamar to rehab. This summer was the tipping point when, heartbroken and desperate, she turned to her family to stage an intervention.
They’ve been on and off ever since, with Khloe determined to stand by her man if he gets professional help for his problem, which, for the time being, he refuses to do.
An insider tells Radar Online that, even though not all hope is lost yet for Khloe and Lamar, Kris wants her to get a divorce.
“At Kris’ insistence, Khloe did meet with a divorce lawyer… it was something she was forced into doing by her mom. Kris was very heavy handed and said Khloe had a responsibility to her sisters, Kim and Kourtney, and the Kardashian brand to distance herself from Lamar,” says a source close to the situation.
“It’s all about the bottom line with Kris, and Khloe could care less about that. She is still holding out hope that her marriage to Lamar can be saved,” the insider adds.
The same source claims that Khloe is so gung-ho about saving her marriage to Lamar even when everyone else in her life is advising her otherwise because she thinks it’s her best chance of distancing herself from the Kardashian name.
“When she met and married Lamar, it was a huge change for her. It was a chance for Khloe to distance herself from the Kardashian name. All of a sudden, Khloe was getting tons of attention from the media, and she was very popular with Lamar’s teammates’ wives. She had this huge mansion, a wardrobe to die for, and the man of her dreams. It was everything her other two sisters didn’t have,” says the tipster.
Regardless of her plans with Lamar, for the time being, Khloe is keeping up appearances: despite countless rumors surrounding the state of her marriage, she’s still wearing her wedding band and engagement ring, and making sure paparazzi catch a good look at both whenever she steps out.
